The Celler Piñol Winery, proud representative of the wines of Terra Alta, has achieved high scores in the prestigious 2024 Peñín Guide. This year, our creations have shone with exceptional light, consolidating their place among the Best Wines of Spain with outstanding marks.

This recognition in the Peñín Guide is a moving tribute to the work of our winery and the essence of our wines: Mediterranean character, authenticity, connection to the land, and unparalleled quality. Each wine has been meticulously evaluated by experts, and, as in the previous edition , they have awarded us exceptional scores. Out of a possible maximum of 100 points, our wines have achieved scores from 89 to 93!

Finca Morenillo: 93 Points

The 2018 Finca Morenillo has been awarded an outstanding score of 93 points in the 2024 Peñín Guide. This dry red wine reflects Celler Piñol's dedication to excellence, offering a sensorial experience that resonates with the authenticity of our land. Mather Teresina: 93 Points

Another impressive achievement is the 93-point score awarded to Mather Teresina 2020. This red wine from the DO Terra Alta, aged for 18 months in French oak barrels, embodies the Mediterranean essence that defines Celler Piñol. It is the result of selecting the estate's best old vines, and its tasting notes will not leave you indifferent: intense cherry red color, powerful aroma of smoke, minerals, balsamic tones, creamy oak notes, and candied and ripe black fruits. L'Avi Arrufí Blanco: 93 Points

The 2024 Peñín Guide has recognized the excellence of L'Avi Arrufí Blanco 2022 with an outstanding score of 93 points. This wine captures the unique connection with the land and the unparalleled quality that characterize the best wines of Terra Alta. This white wine, fermented and aged in French oak barrels for 7 months, comes from our oldest Garnacha Blanca vines. Delicious, in Bocas, it is powerful, flavorful, oily, unctuous, and velvety. With a score of 92 points, Ànima L'Avi Arrufí 2021 stands out among Celler Piñol's award-winning wines. It has been produced in our facilities for three generations, from 70% Cariñena, 20% Garnacha, and 10% Syra. As its name suggests, it is a tribute to Grandfather Piñol and his elegance.

Sa Natura: 90 Points

With a score of 90 points, Sa Natura 2020 establishes itself as one of the most prestigious organic wines from Terra Alta. This red wine, made from Cariñena and Syrah grapes, will captivate you with its beautiful garnet color with violet hues. On the palate, it is powerful and fleshy, with fine smoky and terroir nuances, concentrated, with flavorful tannins, and very long-lasting. Nostra Sra Portal Blanco 2022 has received an outstanding score of 89 points in the 2024 Peñín Guide. It's a wine for Grenache devotees (90% of its production is from this grape) but also for those curious about other varieties (in this case, Sauvignon Blanc and Viognier).
