Josefina Piñol Sweet Red 2016

A sweet red wine crafted following a late harvest of century-old Garnacha vines, matured for 15 months in French oak barrels. It displays a garnet-cherry color with a violet rim. The aroma is complex, showcasing forest fruit jam, roasted notes, dates, candied tomatoes, spicy hints, cocoa, coffee memories, and a touch of licorice. On the palate, it is concentrated, with restrained sweetness, rich in nuances, round, polished, and harmonious, with skin tannins and a very pleasant alternation of sweet and bitter. Ideal to enjoy with chocolate desserts, chocolates, nuts, and certain blue cheeses.
