Summer is approaching, and with it, vacations. The beach and mountains are usually travelers' favorite destinations, but at Celler Piñol, we bring you the magic of DO Terra Alta with our wine tourism activities and the festivals that our land hosts.
Wine tourism, an alternative to mass tourism
Sun and beach tourism accounts for 70.5% of Spain's tourism GDP. Images of crowded beaches open many newscasts during the summer months. Far from the crowds and overcrowding, Celler Piñol offers you a unique wine experience where you can delve into our winery to learn the secrets of our red, white, rosé, sweet, and organic wines. Learn about the different grape varieties we use: Garnacha Blanca, Cariñena, Garnacha Tinta, and Morenillo, and become a wine tasting expert.

The path of wine
At Celler Piñol, we're giving you the chance to discover the Terra Alta DO by staying in our old, completely renovated family home in Batea . You can make your reservation here.
With this unique experience, we discover the journey from vineyard to bottle for each of our wines. You'll be able to observe every element involved in the winemaking process, which contributes immense value to achieving the magic at the end of the journey. From the outset, you'll learn about the great qualities of the Terra Alta DO and what it contributes to our vineyards. You'll learn how to harvest the fruit, its treatment, and the production and storage processes.
All our guests will receive a guided tour of our wineries and a tasting guided by an oenologist and winemaker.

DO Terra Alta, a territory of celebrations, sports and fun
As if that weren't enough, in addition to the great winemaking experience offered at Celler Piñol , the DO Terra Alta also offers many activities to enjoy leisure and nature.
A land full of history to explore on foot
One of the examples is the Ruta de la Pau , a circular itinerary that runs through different important points of the Battle of the Ebro in the Spanish Civil War. This route connects the municipalities of Gandesa, Corbera d'Ebre, La Fatarella, Villalba dels Arcs, Bot i Prat de Compte.

A summer full of music and festivals
Another of the great activities offered by the Terra Alta DO is the Terra Alta Film Festival . Known as in-FCTA , it brings together short film enthusiasts with more than 100 entrants and 3,500 attendees. Come to Celler Piñol and take advantage of this festival from August 4th to 10th, which will leave no one indifferent.
Another major event is Eufònic , a festival of sound, visual, and digital performance arts held in Terres de l'Ebre from July 4 to 14. Among the artists are Verde Prato, Infanta, Aida Oset, and many others. Each offers a distinct vision; we find concerts, dance and music, and installations.
Do Terra Alta, a land of history and culture
Last but not least, history buffs can visit the Spanish Civil War Museum in Gandesa, a war memorial where you can find weapons and all kinds of historical artifacts.
Summer is also the season for local festivals . Once you've decided which days you'll be visiting Celler Piñol, check nearby towns to see if there are any special celebrations. We've provided this calendar for you.
